We lift our voice in prayer to you, Father, and we pray that Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven! We thank You, most Holy Father, for all the blessings and bounty You have given us, and we humble ourselves and acknowledge that You are the maker of all things and only You are in control.

Abba, we come to You with a broken, heavy heart and downcast eyes. Again our youth has been wrongfully taken from us and we raise our prayers and tears to You. Father, we can't fix this problem without Your help. Our country seems adrift, and our leaders appear compromised. We ask that You fill the hearts of all our countrymen with the love for their neighbors as they have love for themselves. We ask for a hedge of Your holy protection around our children, our schools, and our families. We ask that You put metal in the spine of our leaders, that You fill them with Godly wisdom, and

Heavenly Father, we come to You in praise and worship! We thank you for all of the good things you give us. Holy be Your glorious Name! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Hallelu Yah!

Father, we lift up married couples and their children to you in prayer, and humbly ask for a special hedge of protection around married couples and their children. Father, You created marriage from the very beginning in the Garden, You covenanted with Your people Israel as a groom would covenant with a bride in marriage, You had your apostles teach us that the Church is the bride of Christ. In heartfelt prayer Heavenly Father, we ask protection for married couples and their children from all of the tools Satan uses to destroy the harmony, security, closeness and love of blessed marital relationship. We ask for protection from the lies and doubts that Satan puts in the minds of married couples to cause them to loose faith in You, in their covenant, and in each other. We pray, Heavenly Father for reconciliation where there has been breakup, and redemption where there has been loss. We accept, in humble submission, that only You know the course of a couple's marriage, and that only You set that course. We also know that You are a loving Father who disciplines those whom He loves like His own children. We know that You are a good Father from whom only comes good, and when you allow the enemy to tempt and test us it is for our good and for Your Glory!

Heavenly Father, we pray special protection around the children of married couples, and especially those whom have experienced the trauma of a separation or breakup of their parents marriage. We come in humble prayer Father, asking for full healing in mind, body and spirit for those innocents who have experienced such separation or breakup. We pray, Father, for a silencing of the lies, blame, and doubts that Satan would feed into the minds of these children to steal their peace and security, to destroy their witness, and to kill the purpose that You have planned for them. We ask for a special covering and presence of the Holy Spirit over these children, Heavenly Father, and that they have restoration of their families and reunification of their parents.

We thank You Heavenly Father in joyful praise and worship, knowing that You can do all things. We humbly pray this bounty from You Heavenly Father, in Jesus's mighty name, AMEN! Hallelu Yah!

Heavenly Father we come to You in joyful praise and worship, in acknowledgement that we are but sinful dust, not worthy of Your never ending mercy and love. We thank You for all Your many wondrous blessings, for Your care, for the bountiful harvest you provide, and for Your Word!

Heavenly Father, we lift up Israel to You and we ask You for her safety, her prosperity, her peace and for Your blessing on her. We know that Israel has a special place in Your heart, and that You anointed Israel to bring knowledge of You to the world through her. We ask for a hedge of Your mighty protection around her, and that You shield her from the many enemies that surround her.

We also lift the United States of America to You, Heavenly Father, and ask for Your mighty wings to cover our great nation as an eagle covers her chicks. We ask for peace, unity, and understanding in our land. We ask that You provide our leaders with wisdom, courage, and a heart to follow in all of Your ways. We ask You, Father, for the healing of our nation, as only You can heal Jehovah-Rafah, and we ask for reconciliation between all people in our land, between the races, and between those who have been blessed and those that are being tested in the fire. We especially ask for reconciliation with Your daughter Israel, and that all issues between our nations dissipate in the light of Your infinite justice, mercy and glory.

We ask these things of You Heavenly Father, in Jesus's name, AMEN! Thank you Father!

Offering Up Prayers

This is a set of prayers offered up as the Spirit guides me. Some pertain to events, some are general, some are for the nations and for Israel. We must always keep Israel, the nations, the Body of Christ, our family, and our friends in our daily prayers. Just like the Word of God doesn't return void, neither do the prayers of a faithful believer. Our prayers should always follow God's heart, and should move us closer to Him. Have faith that when you pray to please God's heart, they will be answered!

Prayers for kitty friends that got abandoned or lost...

Heavenly Father I come to You humbly requesting that You provide for my two kitty friends that were abandoned or lost on Halloween evening and You bought to my door. You, who knows all, knows where my heart is, and I thank You for the short time we had together, and for allowing me to feed and love on them. Your will be done regardless of what I want, but I ask, Heavenly Father, that you provide a good forever home for them and that you allow those two furry hugs to bring joy, love, and peace into the lives of the individuals You have intended for them. Thank you, Father, because we know that all good things come from you. I pray in Jesus's name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I just ask that You fill my heart with forgiveness, understanding, and allow me to rest in You and Your peace, with respect to the reason and issue as to why I couldn't take care of them further. You know all, Father, You are always everywhere, so I need not go into details with You. Fill me with Your Spirit, Father, fill me with Your love, fill me with Your compassion Father, so I can take this lesson to heart. Remove all idols from my life, and make me aware where I am sinning against You, in Jesus's Mighty name, AMEN!

Here's some pictures of the sweethearts (they are at the Larimer County Humane Society if you want a pair of great cats. But they should be taken as a pair as they comfort each other…):

Here's the kitties sleeping on my bed. The male was so friendly, would cuddle up right on my chest. The female on right, not so much, but she was warming up by day two…

The "Lord's Prayer" for modern times

Our Father,
Who lives in heaven,
Holy be your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Thank you for giving us today's bread and blessings,
And please forgive us our sins,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Please lead us from temptation,
And deliver us from the clutches of the Evil One.
For yours is the kingdom and power and glory!
Forever, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Jesus told us “7 And when you pray, do not keep babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.  8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.Matthew 6:7-8 (NIV)

We must remember that God does not lead us into temptation, but He does allow us to be tested by them.  God has also promised that he won't allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). {quoted from Zondervan Life Application Study Bible, NIV}

Jesus gave us the template for us to pray in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4. Jesus did not say to verbatim repeat the words in the Lord's Prayer, like a mantra. I pray as above because:

  • We live in modern times and the vernacular is different.
  • I believe in thanking God for what he gives freely and consistently every day.
  • I was taught to say please and thank you, especially to our elders and superiors.
  • We can only sin against God, not one another. We do trespass against one another.
  • Praise God first, give thanks, then present your requests. That is the template for praying to God.

Some Prayers...

This is a collection of prayers that I've gotten from reading, from classes, and from different people. All are good, and as with all sincere prayer, are very powerful…

For Boundaries in Dating…

Heavenly Father, you know me better than I know myself. Please show me what is behind my lack of healthy boundaries and then guide my steps towards health. Show me, too, what good things to fill my life with, and where I can go to grow spiritually, personally, and intellectually, in my work, my hobbies, and my service to others. And most of all, I ask that You help me live out the truth that I need You more than any other relationship. In Jesus' name. Amen.

(From “Boundaries in Dating”, Dr's Henry Cloud & John Townsend)

Prayer to Have the Lord With Somebody…

(In the following prayer, "you" may be replaced with "me" if you are praying for yourself. Don't know the author of this prayer but I've become very fond of praying it over people. I thank the person who gave me this written on the cover page of a New Believer's Bible. That person planted the seed that God grew… )

May the Light of the Lord surround you.
May the Love of the Lord enfold you.
May the Power of the Lord protect you.
May the Presence of the Lord be with you.
Wherever you are, God Is.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

For Deliverance…

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind and command you, unclean spirit of ______________ to leave me now. I cast you out, unclean spirit of ______________ and consign you to the outer darkness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

(______________ may be infirmity, anger, jealousy, hate, loneliness, witchcraft, vexation, or any of the other unclean spirits that may afflict you. This is from the teachings of All Nations Church in Fort Collins, a Deliverance Center.)
